RoRole Purpose

To ensure that cost reports are produced in an accurately and timely manner in accordance with company procedures and project requirements

Key Areas of Responsibility

•To conduct activities in accordance with the HSE Management System requirements and to meet all legal obligations incorporated in the HSE Management system, specifically to meet those responsibilities defined within procedure CORP/H&S/P/SP1.1 – HSE Roles and Responsibilities.
•Ensure project baselines are produced and issued in a timely and accurate manner
•Ensure Project Cost and Revenue Reports are produced and issued in a timely and accurate manner
•Assist the Project Managers to maximise project revenue and margin
•To provide accurate cost and revenue information as required

Key Tasks

•Produce cost models and project data are required
•Support the Commercial department to secure projects as and when required
•Assist the Project Managers to ensure Variation Orders are raised and agreed for all work over and above contractual requirements
•Ensure objectives and schedules are met in a safe and effective manner
•Ensure that project baselines is assessed and monitored against
•Liaise with Project Managers to ensure invoices are raised and payments expedited in a timely manner
•Provide concise and accurate reports in line with project requirements
•Attend C&R and Project review meetings as required
•Attend monthly project update to review the status of the projects
•Evaluate project performance; identifying best practice and areas for improvement

•Excellent working relationships are developed and maintained with clients, colleagues and suppliers
•Project delivers the expected level of revenue and margin
•Project reports in an accurate and timely manner
•Invoices are issued as per contract requirements
•Ensure payments are received within contract payment terms

Qualifications/Demonstrable experience
•Substantial experience as a Cost Engineer in the oil and gas, subsea or other related industry
•Able to read and understand contracts
•IT literate including Excel, Word, PowerPoint etc
